Slug & Sharing
URL structure
Section titled “URL structure”Bio pages are served at the /bio path on your Tolinku domain:
- Default bio page:
https://your-app.tolinku.com/bio - Specific slug:
https://your-app.tolinku.com/bio/my-brand
The default bio page (/bio) serves the first active bio page in your Appspace. If you have multiple bio pages, each one needs a unique slug.
Setting a slug
Section titled “Setting a slug”The slug is the URL-friendly identifier for your bio page. Set it when creating the page or edit it later.
Slug rules:
- Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only
- No spaces or special characters
- Must be unique within your Appspace
Making a page active
Section titled “Making a page active”Toggle the Active switch on a bio page to make it publicly accessible. Inactive pages return a 404 when visited.
The first active bio page (by creation date) becomes the default for the /bio URL. If you want a different page as the default, deactivate the current default and activate the one you want.
Social media sharing
Section titled “Social media sharing”When you share a bio page URL on social media, the platform displays a preview card using OG tags. Tolinku automatically generates these from your bio page data:
- og:title: The bio page title
- og:description: The bio text, or “[Title] - Links” if no bio is set
- og:image: The avatar URL, or your Appspace’s default OG image
These tags appear when the URL is pasted into Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, iMessage, Slack, and other platforms that render link previews.
