A/B Testing Landing Pages

A/B testing lets you compare two or more landing page designs to see which one converts better. Tolinku splits traffic between variants and tracks conversion metrics for each.

  1. You create an A/B test and add landing page variants.
  2. Tolinku assigns each visitor to a variant deterministically (based on a fingerprint of their IP and user agent). This means the same visitor always sees the same variant, even across multiple visits.
  3. Each variant tracks its own metrics: landing page views, store redirects, and installs.
  4. After enough data, you compare the results and declare a winner.
  1. Create two or more landing pages with different designs. For example, one with a large app screenshot and one with a feature list.
  2. Mark each landing page as A/B eligible in its settings.
  3. Go to A/B Testing and create a new test of type Landing Page.
  4. Add your landing page variants and set traffic weights (e.g. 50/50 or 70/30).
  5. Assign the test to a route.

See A/B Testing Results for details on interpreting conversion data and declaring a winner.

Once you have a winner, you can:

  • Assign the winning landing page to the route permanently.
  • End the test (stops traffic splitting).
  • Delete the losing variant or keep it for future tests.
